Headmaster of the Experimental Junior High School of the University of Patras. PhD awarded by the University of Patras with specialization in Solid State Physics. He is holding a Master’s degree in “Polymer Science and Technology”. For the last 11 years (since 2013) he has been teaching at the Experimental Lyceum of the University of Patras, while he is involved in research in Science Education and has taught for two consecutive years the course of Science Education. He has more than 500 hours of experience as a laboratory associate and assistant in the Departments of Physics and Primary Education of the University of Patras. From time to time, he has collaborated with more than 10 University professors in organizing and conducting laboratory exercises for University students. As a secondary school teacher, he has been honored with an Honorable Mention for the pioneering introduction of new technologies in the educational process in 2010. He has participated in more than 80 training activities, has been distinguished with about 35 distinctions, awards and commendations for his general teaching, educational and research activity and has elaborated about 70 educational programs, innovative actions and research projects. He has participated in more than 60 Scientific Conferences, in the vast majority of which he was the main speaker. He has been invited to more than 50 events as a speaker. In collaboration with professors, researchers and educators he has authored 21 published papers in international peer-reviewed journals and 42 papers in peer-reviewed conference proceedings. In recent years he has been intensively involved in composing European Programs, mainly ERASMUS+ KA1 and KA2. Through his pioneering involvement with these programs, he has developed close cooperation with more than 30 schools in almost all European countries (up to France’s distant possessions in the Indian Ocean) and with more than 200 teachers. He is fluent in English and very proficient in German. He is an excellent computer user, proficient in Python and html programming languages and an experienced user of mobile learning devices, which was reflected in the first wide-ranging European project entitled: E-Learning Interactive Open School that was developed 8 years ago and foresaw the future need for distance learning. In recent years she has developed European programs on STEM in education through the teaching of “simple machines” and youth entrepreneurship, Astronomy and Geology for visually impaired people. Through his two KA1 programs, he encouraged 60 of his colleagues to travel to various European countries and be trained in subjects of their immediate interest. In recent years he has participated as a member in scientific committees of national examinations, while he is a reviewer in a series of scientific journals and conferences and author of the book “I observe, I imagine, I create”, Interdisciplinary experiential plans of creative action for Junior High School and Lyceum, Grigoris Publications, ISBN 978-960-6121-15-9, Athens 2018.
