With great satisfaction and joy, our school community announces the completion of the European eTwinning project titled “eCooLoop”, a remarkable initiative dedicated to sustainability.
During this school year, our students joined forces with peers from 5 different countries – Czechia, Greece, Jordan, Portugal, and Turkey – focusing on a shared, global goal: raising awareness about ecology, the circular economy, and environmental protection. Through the project’s TwinSpace, the children collaborated closely, exchanged ideas, and proved that ecological consciousness knows no borders!

Our Action Calendar: Month by Month
The eCooLoop project was packed with creativity, digital tools, and original ideas. Let’s take a closer look at everything we accomplished:
1. Getting to Know Each Other & Choosing Our Identity (Ice-breaking & Logo)
We started with some ice-breaking activities. Students introduced themselves and their schools using interactive Padlets. Afterward, we held a major contest to determine the project’s official Logo and Poster. Through a European online vote, the logo featuring the “green infinity” sign was chosen, symbolizing the circular economy and continuous recycling!
2. December: Circularity, Green Guides, and Artificial Intelligence
December was incredibly productive, as students created:
- European Circularity Map: A digital map where good eco-practices from each country were recorded.
- European Green Guide: A collaborative handbook with daily tips to help reduce our environmental footprint. View Guide
- Creative Christmas Cards with AI: Students combined tradition with technology, designing beautiful Christmas cards using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
3. January: Our Recycling Habits
With the turn of the new year, we focused on our daily actions. Students recorded, compared, and analyzed the recycling habits in their homes and schools across the 5 countries, identifying ways to become even better.
4. February: Waste Recognition with AI
Diving into the heart of technology, students experimented with waste recognition via Artificial Intelligence. They learned how modern technology and algorithms can assist in the proper sorting of materials and more efficient waste management.
5. March: Celebrating Forests and Water
March was dedicated to two of our planet’s most precious resources:
- International Day of Forests (March 21): Activities and messages emphasizing the vital importance of Earth’s green lungs.
- World Water Day (March 22): Digital creations and presentations focusing on water protection and responsible management.
6. April: A Touching “Letter to Planet Earth”
On the occasion of Earth Day (April 22), students participated in a deeply experiential activity. Following classroom discussions regarding environmental challenges, they wrote letters and poems addressed to the Planet itself. Through these, they expressed their concerns, made personal promises for a greener lifestyle, and accompanied their texts with wonderful digital collages on Canva.

The project concluded in May with a focus on our planet’s fauna:
- World Bee Day (May 20): Tributes to this small but miraculous pollinator that keeps our ecosystem alive.
- International Day for Biological Diversity (March 22): Understanding the crucial value of the variety of life on Earth.
- Evaluation: Students and teachers completed the Pre-Tests and Post-Tests, assessing the outstanding results and the knowledge acquired throughout the project.
In Our Students’ Own Words:
“Through eCooLoop and our motto ‘Be smart. Reduce waste!’, we learned that we are not alone in this effort. We made friends in Czechia, Portugal, Turkey, and Jordan, and together we decided to become the change the planet needs!”
Why Did eCooLoop Change Our School?
Participating in this European network truly broadened our children’s horizons. Instead of learning about the environment passively, the students:
- Developed their digital skills by utilizing AI tools, Canva, and the eTwinning platforms.
- Practiced their English by communicating directly with their European peers.
- Learned the value of international cooperation within mixed, multicultural teams.
- Became active citizens, ready to reduce waste and protect their future.
